Our Colorful Collection
Our color story wasn’t an accident. Each color represents a non-profit. Every time you purchase a speficic color straw a portion of the purchase price is donated to a local non-profit. The non-profits we support all change their communities in meaningful ways, just like the straw.

As someone who has always been eco-conscious, I was pretty thrilled when California outlawed the use of plastic straws. I live a few miles from the beach, so I know what plastic can do to our oceans. My happiness was short-lived when I realized that it was impossible to find a reusable and recyclable straw. If a straw was supposed to be recyclable, what that usually meant was that it was compostable. Those words are not interchangeable as I would watch the straw slowly disintegrate into my ice tea. If the straw was reusable, it was usually made of steel or silicone. Steel could rust, and I didn’t know what heavy metals were in it. And often, if the straw was a specific color, it could flake into my drink. Silicone was fine, but it was tough to clean, plus it could get a yucky residue, and just like steel, it was not recyclable.
This is where my quest began…
